Interpretater/Translator

Interpreter is a person who can speak the language of two or more countries and convert one language into another depending on the situation.

Translator is to express one language in another language.

In addition to strong language skills, an understanding of the industry and terminology is also required.

Since it is often required for projects with deadlines, this position is often temporary or contractual, or it may be outsourced to a professional company.

On the other hand, there is an increasing need for continuous interpretation/translation, in which case permanent employees are the mainstay.

Typically, it's supporting the apprenticeships of the company that holds the apprentices, or working for the union that manages/monitors the apprenticeship.

You may already have a stable business base at an overseas subsidiary, and you may be able to work as a liaison with the overseas subsidiary from a base in Japan.
